Flashback Friday

I have seen this on a few different blogs and I thought it was pretty cool.  They take an old image and describe what is happening in the picture.  It can be any image you want…it is your blog :)

Mom_and_Gena1

I guess I was so tuckered out I didn’t even want to eat.  I love this picture, it has such a sweet sense to it.  Look, Mom is kissing me on my head, AWW!

Family Pictures

So we had family pics taken on Wednesday, remember I told you about them, Michelle Jones?  Well, here is some of her great work!

Of course, I don’t want to post the best ones, which I think they are all great, but some people might be getting these for gifts!

The Right Way for Cinnamon Toast

I have been doing wrong all this time.  I love Cinnamon Toast, I grew up on it, and now I have Gracie hooked.  I have always, just smothered the bread with butter, and sprinkled cinnamon and sugar over it, threw it in the broiler for a few, and enjoyed.  But according to the Pioneer Woman, I have been doing it wrong all along.  Although, I would have to severely cut this recipe down, there is no way we could eat 16 slices of toast:

5 Question Friday

th_w6r0jk

1. If you could, would you go back to high school? Not No, but H&%$ NO!  I hated high school, come to think of it, I hated Junior High.  I was a horrible teenager, and I was always grounded, but for things that I should have been grounded for!  My best year was my senior year, I changed schools, and got my act together!
2. If a genie appeared and granted you two wishes, what would they be? (And, no saying "more wishes".) 1.  To have all debt dissolved. 2.  To have the house I have, but nothing in the world wrong with it, I want it all perfect.
3. What kids show do you secretly like? Wizards of Waverly Place, for some reason, I like the youngest kid on there, he is goofy.
4. What is your beverage of choice? Diet Coke
5. What is something that you would change about yourself (or are working to change in yourself)? Weight, but I need to try harder to change it.

The Marriage Ref

If you can start this video at 11:30, it is so funny!!  Talking about coupons.  My husband will use coupons if I give them to him.  As he does the majority of the grocery shopping anyway, all I have to do is lay out the coupons according to our list, and he is not embarrassed to use them.  Now, if I could get him to go back to Homeland, where they double the coupons!

5 Question Friday…

1. What was the first car you owned?  I got a red 1987 Acura Integra for my 15th birthday.  It was a sweet car!!  It would run forever, and it is still running today, I see it around town every once in a while.  I put about 10 pair of brake pads, new transmission, and had a wreck in it!  What a great car!

2. What song are you embarrassed to know the lyrics to?  Kid Rock, Bawitdaba

3. Have you ever had stitches? Yes, a few times, chin, head, and belly

4. What was your first job? Working at Halliburton Credit Union when I was 15 stuffing statements into envelopes for $.10 an envelope

5. Who is your favorite Sesame Street character?  I have always liked Bert and Ernie, it always seemed like Bert was trying to tell Ernie what to do though.

Before I was a mom…

Before I was a mom, I never had to sleep in a bed full of crumbs.

Before I was a mom, I never had to put a towel down in bed, because a little one had an accident.

Before I was a mom, my kitchen floor was always clean and never sticky.

Before I was a mom, I could lay in bed all day on Sundays and watch Lifetime movies, especially The Betty Broderick story, I told you that lady was crazy!!

Before I was a mom, I never knew love could be so great, and that you could love a child so much, and want to protect her all the time!

Before I was a mom, I never knew that a 3 year old could be so funny!

What were you like before you were a mom??

Every Mom is entitled to a little break down, right??

Ok, so this is what my husband says, he says that us Moms are allowed to break down every once in a while.  We don’t have to be the perfect Mom, the perfect wife and the perfect woman all the time.  I am not saying I am trying to be perfect, but I do, however, like to have everything in order and everything running smoothly all the time.  We have a system and I like to stick to it, routine is good!  Well, the other day, I had a horrible headache all day at work, I had a lot of things on my mind and Gracie had once again bawled her head off for me NOT to leave her at daycare.  By the time I got off work, all I wanted to do was go home and snuggle on the couch with Gracie.  Well, when I got to daycare, she once again bawled her head off, but this time it was to stay.  Make up your mind child, seriously!  So, I kind of, ok, I really broke down right there and just left.  I left her there, and called her dad to go pick her up after work.  I cried all the way home.  After I sat there at home on the couch by myself for an hour, I finally got over my little breakdown.  It is tough being a mom, I guess no one has ever said it was easy!  Now, I am second guessing myself, should I have just picked her up and walked out, kicking and screaming, did I just teach her she can get her way??  Great!

New Favorite Show

Let me just say that I have a new favorite show, and I know the season is coming to an end, and they will be going on summer break, and I am already sad thinking about it.  It is called Parenthood.  No, not the one with Gil in it

parenthood-martin

But the new series on NBC.  It has such great cast, and they seem to discuss real life events.  It is so good, I usually end up crying from sadness, happiness, or just a great feeling every episode.  You should try to watch it, if you are up on Tuesday nights at 9:00

I am a little late…

The RHOK
I am a little late on posting this, but I just couldn’t do it yesterday.  April 19.  What does this day mean to you?  Well, when it happened I was a sophomore in high school.  I had just transferred to Bray from Duncan.  We will leave out why I transferred, but let’s just say it was for the better.  I remember the event very well, but I don’t remember if I was glued to the TV all the time or not.  Probably not, I didn’t know anyone in the building, nor did I know anyone that had relatives in the building.  So, my life pretty much went on as it always did.  Although I do remember, seeing one particular image that brought tears to my eyes and still does to this day.  I can’t imagine anyone wanting to hurt another human being let alone hurt children.  Anyway, fast forward 7 years.  I moved to Oklahoma City and went to work for Federal Employees Credit Union, which in 1995 was housed in the Murrah Building and lost 18 employees.  There was a handful of employees that were actually in the building when the bomb went off that survived and were still working at FECU.  I had the pleasure of meeting these people and becoming great friends with them.  I said a little prayer for them yesterday and they were on my mind most of the day.  To listen to a few of their stories, click here:  http://www.allegiancecu.org/about-us/history-flash-video.html

A little bit of knowledge...

Ok, so at little bit a knowledge I learned this morning, and let me just say I am sad to hear it.  Did you know that if you use liquid fabric softener, you are NOT suppose to use it on your towels.  Any towels, bath, wash clothes, kitchen towels.  It takes the absorbency away, and it can cause the towels to mildew.  WHAT??  I love how soft my bath towels are after using the fabric softener and the fabric softener sheet.  This is also why they smell so good!  But it can cause mildew, and they will start to stink fast.  If you have done this, they say to quit washing it with them now, and every once in a while, throw a whole lotta white vinegar in your wash with your towels, this will bring the absorbency back.

After reading this, I guess the same could go for your sports uniforms and such.  Take away the BO smell.

Ok seriously, I  woke up with a terrible headache again this morning.  This is happening pretty often lately.  In fact, I got a headache so bad on Friday, I thought I was going to throw up all over my desk.  I don't know what is going on with me, but they need to be stopped and stopped now.  I don't know if it is my hormones or what, but they come on all of a sudden and are pretty extreme sometimes.  When they started back in July, I thought it was my contacts.  So, I changed them monthly like I was suppose too, and then 3 months later when I still had headaches, I finally called the eye doctor.  Well, it seems the great DOCTOR that I went to, had gotten my prescription wrong, and wanted to charge me for each visit of going back and forth of "testing the waters"  I DOUBT IT!!  Not happening with me, so I went back to the eye doctor I loved before moving to OKC.  And it doesn't hurt that he is kind of cute Smile emoticon  This one seemed to get the prescription right and they were too strong.  So, that has been 4 months now and I am still having headaches, so it can't be the contacts.  What is going on??

For those of you who are wondering...

The question that was asked about MM, was:

This year on American Idol... Cara asked Casey to take his shirt off, so we wanted to know if Marlboro Man would take his shirt off!

I didn't ask it, I promise!

Thursday, April 15, 2010

Ok, so guess who I got to meet today!!

Ree Drummond, AKA, The Pioneer Woman.  AND I met her husband too.   Both very sweet people, and super funny!!  The question about MM shirt coming off still has me laughing!!  At the luncheon we could have wrote a question down and put it in a basket for her to answer.  I didn’t have time to do that, because I was waiting on my sister to get there, I had her ticket.  I wanted to make sure she got in.  But, if there was one question I could have asked her, it would have been:  We know your brother Mike, and your sister, Betsy, but what about your other brother?  We never hear of him…  Oh well, I hope one day to meet her again, and maybe I will ask her myself.   I am so glad that she came to the DRH Health Foundation Ladies Luncheon, it was great!  BONUS:  I got both, her and MM signatures in my cookbook!

Spring Cleaning Week

This apparently is Spring Cleaning Week, and I didn’t even know it.  BUT I did however, start cleaning out for a garage sale yesterday, while Miss Gracie and I were home due to her being sick.  I love allergies, but anywho, on to the spring cleaning week. I have SO much stuff it is unreal!  I have told you before that sometimes I feel like I am a hoarder.  Brian said I needed to get rid of some of the crap in the garage, well I CAN’T.  Well, maybe I can.  Last year, I promised myself at our last garage sale that the stuff I was keeping if I didn’t use it in the next year, it was going in the next garage sale.  Well that is in two months.  AAHH!  I don’t want to get rid of my books, what I want is to get rid of some of the crap in the middle bedroom, and put my books in there.  But I somehow, keep collecting more and more crafting stuff.  Maybe I just need to get organized, can anyone help me out on that.  I need something to put all my ribbon in and I don’t want to pay $20 for each Rubbermaid storage drawers, that is too much.  I want someone to build be a fabulous ribbon holder, sewing table, yarn keeper, book shelves, etc…  Maybe I need to hire a carpenter.

Oh wait, I can’t, I have to replace the wood floor under the tile (yes, that means replace tile too) in our bathroom, because it is rotted out, and the only thing that is keeping the crapper from falling through the floor, is the 10 inch steel pipe it is sitting on—AAH the joys of being a homeowner.  Add it to my list of things to do…

Anyway, back to Spring Cleaning Week,  here are 4 common roadblocks when decluttering,:

I don’t want to get rid of it because I might need it later—We have already discussed this, if I haven’t used it in the last year, it is gone

I can’t get rid of it because someone gave it to me, and I don’t want to hurt his or her feelings—We all made an agreement, does everyone remember this agreement??  You can’t get mad…

I paid good money for this.”  Also, “I’m waiting for this to appreciate in value—I did paid good money for MOST of our stuff in the house, but I cannot hold onto it forever.

I’ve had it a really long time.”  Or, “I got this at a [specific location] or [specific time in my life], and if I get rid of it, that moment will lose significance—So, it probably smells, and it probably has holes in it (like a Gun’s n Roses 1988 Concert T shirt, that you absolutely love, and remember that concert dearly), it is time to get rid of it.  It is time to move on, you are a grown up now!

So, tonight, i hope to tackle another project, we will see how it goes.  I asked Gracie if she wanted to go clean out her toys for the garage sale, I said anything you don’t want or play with, throw in this box.  She said, But I love all of them, and I do play with everything in my room, and I don’t want to give it to someone else.  So, I guess I will be cleaning out her room, while she is at Mema’s!

Because I have kept this email for months, I am going to share it with you…

A friend of mine sent me this, and I look back at it every now and again when I need a good laugh, today was one of those days…

It is a long list, but read them, they are hilarious!

1. More often than not, when someone is telling me a story all I can think about is that I can't wait for them to finish so that I can tell my own story that's not only better, but also more directly involves me.

2. Nothing sucks more than that moment during an argument when you realize you're wrong.

3. I don't understand the purpose of the line, "I don't need to drink to have fun." Great, no one does. But why start a fire with flint and sticks when they've invented the lighter?

4. Have you ever been walking down the street and realized that you're going in the complete opposite direction of where you are supposed to be going? But instead of just turning a 180 and walking back in the direction from which you came, you have to first do something like check your watch or phone or make a grand arm gesture and mutter to yourself to ensure that no one in the surrounding area thinks you're crazy by randomly switching directions on the sidewalk.

6. I totally take back all those times I didn't want to nap when I was younger.

7. The letters T and G are very close to each other on a keyboard. This recently became all too apparent to me and consequently I will never be ending a work email with the phrase "Regards" again.

8. Do you remember when you were a kid, playing Nintendo and it wouldn't work? You take the cartridge out, blow in it and that would magically fix the problem. Every kid in America did that, but how did we all know how to fix the problem? There was no internet or message boards or FAQ's. We just figured it out. Today's kids are soft.

9. There is a great need for sarcasm font.

10. Sometimes, I'll watch a movie that I watched when I was younger and suddenly realize I had no idea what the heck was going on when I first saw it.

13. How the heck are you supposed to fold a fitted sheet?

14. I would rather try to carry 10 plastic grocery bags in each hand than take 2 trips to bring my groceries in.

15. I think part of a best friend's job should be to immediately clear your computer history if you die.

16. The only time I look forward to a red light is when I'm trying to finish a text.

18. Was learning cursive really necessary?

19. Lol has gone from meaning, "laugh out loud" to "I have nothing else to say".

20. I have a hard time deciphering the fine line between boredom and hunger.

21. Answering the same letter three times or more in a row on a Scantron test is absolutely petrifying.

22. My brother's Municipal League baseball team is named the Stepdads.

Seeing as none of the guys on the team are actual stepdads, I inquired about the name. He explained, "Cuz we beat you, and you hate us."

Classy, bro.

23. Whenever someone says "I'm not book smart, but I'm street smart", all I hear is "I'm not real smart, but I'm imaginary smart".

24. How many times is it appropriate to say "What?" before you just nod and smile because you still didn't hear what they said?

25. I love the sense of camaraderie when a n entire line of cars teams up to prevent a dick from cutting in at the front. Stay strong, brothers!

26. Every time I have to spell a word over the phone using 'as in'

examples, I will undoubtedly draw a blank and sound like a complete idiot. Today I had to spell my boss's last name to an attorney and said "Yes that's G as in...(10 second lapse)..ummm...Goonies"

27. What would happen if I hired two private investigators to follow each other?

28. While driving yesterday I saw a banana peel in the road and instinctively swerved to avoid it...thanks Mario Kart.

29. MapQuest really needs to start their directions on #5. Pretty sure I know how to get out of my neighborhood.

30. Obituaries would be a lot more interesting if they told you how the person died.

31. I find it hard to believe there are actually people who get in the shower first and THEN turn on the water.

32. Shirts get dirty. Underwear gets dirty. Pants? Pants never get dirty, and you can wear them forever.

33. I can't remember the last time I wasn't at least kind of tired.

34. Bad decisions make good stories

35. Whenever I'm Facebook stalking someone and I find out that their profile is public I feel like a kid on Christmas morning who just got the Red Ryder BB gun that I always wanted. 546 pictures? Don't mind if I do!

37. If Carmen San Diego and Waldo ever got together, their offspring would probably just be completely invisible.

38. Why is it that during an ice-breaker, when the whole room has to go around and say their name and where they are from, I get so incredibly nervous? Like I know my name, I know where I'm from, this shouldn't be a problem....

39. You never know when it will strike, but there comes a moment at work when you've made up your mind that you just aren't doing anything productive for the rest of the day.

40. Can we all just agree to ignore whatever comes after DVDs? I don't want to have to restart my collection.

41. There's no worse feeling than that millisecond you're sure you are going to die after leaning your chair back a little too far.

42. I'm always slightly terrified when I exit out of Word and it asks me if I want to save any changes to my ten page research paper that I swear I did not make any changes to.

43. "Do not machine wash or tumble dry" means I will never wash this ever.

44. I hate being the one with the remote in a room full of people watching TV. There's so much pressure. 'I love this show, but will they judge me if I keep it on? I bet everyone is wishing we weren't watching this. It's only a matter of time before they all get up and leave the room. Will we still be friends after this?'

45. While watching the Olympics, I find myself cheering equally for China and USA. No, I am not of Chinese descent, but I am fairly certain that when Chinese athletes don't win, they are executed.

46. I hate when I just miss a call by the last ring (Hello? Hello?

UGH!!), but when I immediately call back, it rings nine times and goes to voicemail. What'd you do after I didn't answer? Drop the phone and run away?

47. I hate leaving my house confident and looking good and then not seeing anyone of importance the entire day. What a waste.

48. When I meet a new girl, I'm terrified of mentioning something she hasn't already told me but that I have learned from some light internet stalking.

49. I like all of the music in my iTunes, except when it's on shuffle, then I like about one in every fifteen songs in my iTunes.

50. Why is a school zone 20 mph? That seems like the optimal cruising speed for pedophiles...

51. As a driver I hate pedestrians, and as a pedestrian I hate drivers, but no matter what the mode of transportation, I always hate cyclists.

52. Sometimes I'll look down at my watch 3 consecutive times and still not know what time it is.

53. It should probably be called Unplanned Parenthood.

54. I keep some people's phone numbers in my phone just so I know not to answer when they call.

55. I think that if, years down the road when I'm trying to have a kid, I find out that I'm sterile, most of my disappointment will stem from the fact that I was not aware of my condition in college.

56. Even if I knew your social security number, I wouldn't know what do to with it.

58. My 4-year old son asked me in the car the other day "Dad what would happen if you ran over a ninja?" How  do I respond to that?

59. It really pisses me off when I want to read a story on CNN.com and the link takes me to a video instead of text.

60. I wonder if cops ever get pissed off at the fact that everyone they drive behind obeys the speed limit.

61. I think the freezer deserves a light as well.

Better-Than-Almost-Anything Cake

by Betty Crocker

I have actually made this one, and it is super-yummy

1 box Betty Crocker® SuperMoist® German chocolate cake mix

Water, vegetable oil and eggs called for on cake mix box

1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk

1 jar (16 to 17 oz) caramel, butterscotch or fudge topping

1 container (8 oz) frozen whipped topping, thawed

1 bag (8 oz) toffee chips or bits

1.Heat oven to 350°F (325°F for dark or nonstick pan). Bake cake as directed on box for 13x9-inch pan.

2.Poke top of warm cake every 1/2 inch with handle of wooden spoon. Drizzle milk evenly over top of cake; let stand until milk has been absorbed into cake. Drizzle with caramel topping. Run knife around sides of pan to loosen cake. Cover and refrigerate about 2 hours or until chilled.

3.Spread whipped topping over top of cake. Sprinkle with toffee chips. Store covered in refrigerator.

High Altitude (3500-6500 ft): Follow High Altitude directions on cake mix box.

Make the Most of This Recipe

Success Tips

The cake may stick to the wooden spoon handle while you’re using it to make the holes, so occasionally wipe off the handle.

Did You Know...

The caramel topping will be easier to drizzle if it has been kept at room temperature. If refrigerated, remove the lid and microwave on High about 15 seconds.

Special Touch

Instead of the toffee chips or bits, coarsely chop 5 bars (1.4 oz each) chocolate-covered English toffee candy, and sprinkle on top of the cake.

I saw this on someone else’s blog…

She is a stay at home mom, well we all do this, plus work a full time job!  I changed up her meaning for all of her titles

Moms are special, because they are all of these things:

Cook/Chef/Baker – Most of the time I do this, sometimes my husband does it, and he is a really good cook!  Sometimes there are nights when we just eat whatever we can find in the fridge, but I would say 99% of the time, we are all sitting at the table talking about our day while we eat.
Dust-er - If by dusting you mean being able to write my name in all horizontal surfaces, then yeah, I do that.  Yes, once every two weeks, but it could use it every day.  Gracie is getting really good at this.
Vacuum-er  - This is actually Brian’s job, and he does it well
Sweep-er – I hate this job, and lucky for me I don’t have a big space to sweep.  Plus I have one of those Dirt Buster electric sweeper, it is like a broom, only a vacuum, it works wonders.
Mopper (rarely) - Mopping is stupid. The floor just gets dirty again. Duh.  I thought her quote was funny, but I try to do this every other week
Cobweb Removal Specialist (rarely) – Most of the time while I am doing the dusting, but I always try to give the chandelier over the table a once over before having company over.
Window Cleaner Specialist – Gracie loves cleaning windows, she usually has the task of cleaning the front door and her door with a wipee, and believe it or not, they look pretty good after it is done.
Setter of alarms/Waker upper of children – Because I am the first one up, it takes me longer to get ready.
Loader of the Dishwasher – I always try to keep the dishwasher empty so, we can put the dirty ones in there.  I hate dirty dishes in the sink.  Brian does a great job at emptying it, when he checks it :)
Shopper of the Groceries – Sometimes, but most of the time, Brian does our shopping.  We make a list, check our coupons to the list, and he follows that list.  He spends a lot less money going to Wal-mart alone, rather than me going with him, throwing things in the basket that aren’t on the list.
Organizer of the Calendar – I keep a calendar at work, and at home on the fridge.  I write every appointment, and event on there that is happening that month.  That way, when Brian says you didn’t tell me we had ANOTHER birthday party to go to, I can say, it has been on the calendar all month.  He is getting better about reading it.
The Getter Upper in the Night with Puking Children – Luckily Gracie has only had two bouts with this, and one time I was at work, and Brian was at home alone.  The other time, I stayed up with her in the living room to make sure we didn’t spew puke all over her bedroom or mine.  I figured an empty floor with nothing in close proximity was easier to clean that sheets, dolls, stuffed animals, etc…
Checker of/Helper with Homework – The Easter bunny brought Gracie a preschool workbook, so we are starting with that.  Lord help when she gets older, because I have forgotten everything from school.  Amie, I might need your help on this…
Payer of the Bills – I do all of this through online banking and keep our bills form the previous year, neatly filed in their own little file at work, so how could he??
Sewer on of Buttons/Hot Glue-er of Broken Things – This is just a given.
Creator of Valentine Boxes/Halloween Costumes – Gracie and I do all kinds of crafts together, and I am sure it will get even better as she gets older.  I always loved the costumes that Mom or Aunt Teresa made for us, let’s see, clown, California raisin, hobo, flapper chick, punk rocker, etc… many of costumes.
Worrier Over Fevers/Rashes/Tummy Aches/Dental Visits/Ever Bump & Bruise - I excel at this particular one.

My sister in law made this over Easter weekend, and OMG it is delicious!!  It is so rich and yummy, and my favorite part is the brownies!!  You have to try it!

Peanut Butter Brownie Trifle Recipe

20 Servings

  • Prep: 1 hour + chilling

Ingredients

  • 1 fudge brownie mix (13-inch x 9-inch pan size)
  • 1 package (10 ounces) peanut butter chips
  • 2 packages (13 ounces each) miniature peanut butter cups
  • 4 cups cold 2% milk
  • 2 packages (5.1 ounces each) instant vanilla pudding mix
  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 4 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 3 cartons (8 ounces each) frozen whipped topping, thawed

Directions

  • Prepare brownie batter according to package directions; stir in peanut butter chips. Bake in a greased 13-in. x 9-in. baking pan at 350° for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out with moist crumbs (do not over bake). Cool on a wire rack; cut into 3/4-in. pieces.
  • Cut peanut butter cups in half; set aside 1/3 cup for garnish. In a large bowl, whisk milk and pudding mixes for 2 minutes. Let stand for 2 minutes or until soft-set. Add peanut butter and vanilla; mix well. Fold in 1-1/2 cartons whipped topping.
  • Place a third of the brownies in a 5-qt. glass bowl; top with a third of the remaining peanut butter cups. Spoon a third of the pudding mixture over the top. Repeat layers twice. Cover with remaining whipped topping; garnish with reserved peanut butter cups. Refrigerate until chilled. Yield: 20 servings (1 cup each).

Mexican Sushi Bites

saw in Family Fun Magazine

These look really good, and I can’t wait to try them at my next party :)

Mexican Sushi Bites

16 ounces cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup salsa, plus more for dipping
1 tablespoon chili powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 avocado, thinly sliced
1 tablespoon lime juice
8 (8-inch) flour tortillas
2 cups fresh baby spinach
1 red bell pepper, cut into thin strips
1 yellow bell pepper, cut into thin strips

Step 1
In a medium bowl, combine the cream cheese, salsa, chili powder, and salt. In a separate small bowl, lightly sprinkle the avocado with the lime juice to prevent browning.
Step 2
Trim each tortilla to make a roughly 6-1/2-inch square. Spread 3 tablespoons of the cream cheese mixture on a tortilla. Arrange 2 rows of spinach in the center of the tortilla, then top them with a row each of red pepper, yellow pepper, and avocado. Roll the tortilla up tightly and wrap it in plastic wrap. Repeat for the remaining tortillas. Refrigerate the rolls for at least 1 hour and up to 6 hours.
Step 3
Right before serving, slice the rolls crosswise into 1/2-inch pieces and spoon extra salsa into a bowl for dipping.
Serves 10 to 12.

Easter Weekend

What a great weekend we had.   Gracie has gotten to hunt eggs 4 times over the last week, and she has enjoyed every bit of candy that filled those eggs.  She was so wound up last night, she went to sleep after I did, which was sometime after 10:30.  She was in there reading her bible to Haylee and Emma is what she said.  So, I just let her read, and went to bed.

Anyway, we went to Brian’s Aunt Kenna’s house on Saturday, which is always fun!  Had lots of great food and Gracie got to ride a horse.  I won’t even go into that story, but let’s just say Whew!!  Anyway, she filled her basket full of eggs!

IMG_1133

Then on Sunday, we went to FBC in Marlow, which was a great service!  We then went to Brian’s mom’s house and hunted eggs and had a wonderful lunch!!
