Great News!

So, they people I am walking for in the March for Babies, just came by and brought me a March of Dimes t-shirt.  You don't get a MOD t-shirt unless you raise at least $200.  Well, she said, that just for walking with her and her family, she bumped up my donations to $200.  How awesome is that!  What a gal!

Hello!

Well, I just wanted everyone to know that Gracie gets her stitches out tomorrow, we are super excited and she is so tired of wearing that bandage.  She keeps taking it off, I found it in the floor this morning.  The doc said that she needs to wear, to keep dirt out of the wound, and to keep her from picking at the stitches.

I made some hair bows for a lady yesterday in ER, and when I took them to her, everyone loved them, I ended up getting 15 more orders!  How awesome is that?  I will be crazy busy with that, and the garage sale coming up!

Is this Swine Flu thing not crazy?  As of yesterday afternoon, we were at stage 5 out of 6 for alert for a pandemic.  Hope everyone stays healthy!

This Saturday, Gracie and I will be walking in the March for Babies walk, all in all, I raised $135.  I think that is pretty good, my goal was $200, but no biggie, just think your donations could save a baby today!

Thanks again, and love ya'll!

Swine Flu

With all of this talk about Swine Flu, it makes me think about the Mad Cow audio clip  http://www.berro.com/joke/how_to_identify_a_mad_cow.htm

I wonder if we contract the swine flu, if we will all start squealing like pigs?

This past weekend!

Hope everyone had a great weekend!  We did, we went to Norman on Saturday morning, we met Kara for lunch at On the Border, so that was nice!   When we got home, Gracie and I went down to my Mom’s to hang out for the afternoon. My niece and nephews, Hudson, Evan and Emma were there, so Gracie enjoyed that.  We woke up Sunday morning, to Gracie running a low temp.  She got really congested and had a runny nose, but she was also drooling and biting everything.  So, we think it is allergies and that she is teething.  Anyway, she woke up this morning with no fever but still congested.  We got some much needed rain last night, I just wished it would have rained more.

Gena's Blog for Today

Hello everyone!  So, last night we were outside making room for some garage sale stuff, and of course, we were listening to some music.  Gracie was spinning around dancing and she started doing air guitar.  She had her tongue sticking out and was kicking her leg.  It was a sight to see, I wish I would have had my camera.  Brian was going through some of his old clothes and found a pair of pants in bought in South Padre Island, back in 93 or something.  When Gracie and I came back outside after taking her to the restroom, Brian was standing there with those one.  He had changed his clothes in the garage.  I am telling you Gracie and him keep me in stitches.

Miss Gracie

So, I am back at work today, and I have lots to catch up on, but I wanted to let everyone know how much I appreciate them praying for Gracie and helping us out!  It is so nice to have such a great family!  Gracie is doing really good, and it has not slowed her down one bit, in fact, I think it made her even more crazy!!  If you don’t know what happened, to make a long story short, Gracie had to have surgery Friday night, to have a stick removed from her palm.  She tripped and fell and it went right between her index and middle finger.  We got to come home from the hospital on Saturday, but I thank our lucky stars it wasn’t worse than what it was!  I leave you with a few pics, we built Gracie a homemade tent last night and she loved it!  BTW, that is duct tape on her bandage, we didn’t have any other tape to put it on it :)IMG_0314

Gena’s Daily Post

Brian did have three teeth pulled and only two cavities fixed yesterday, but he was in a lot more pain than last time.  He did get up this morning and said he was doing ok, so he has that going for him.  Don’t know when his next appointment is or what they will do, but our insurance is almost out, so he will get the most important thing done next time around, I believe that is a crown and two fillings.  After this year is over, I believe we will go back and he will have to have a bridge then more fillings.

Gracie is doing good, she was really tired this morning and didn’t want to wake up, but once I got her to daycare, she was a ball of energy.  She got to go out and eat last night and see Grandma Joe, so that made her all excited.

Brian

Well, Brian had three more teeth pulled today, he just called and said that he wasn’t doing good, they had to numb him twice.  I hope that once this is all over he will be pain free.  There is nothing worse than tooth pain.  Gracie asked him last night if he had to go to doctor and get a shot?  She was worried about him.
